The cable on the new plug seems a lighter gauge than the original

The negative wire is soldered to the earth spring and came away on the original plus so called into the factory to purchase a replacement. The gauge of the cable seems to be lighter but is doing the job for new. Might purchase a spare as when these fail the fridge can’t be charged via my back up battery
